I'm loving all this great EP talk. Seeing as how I don't have mine yet I'm pretty into the topic. I'm sure once I get one and get handy with it I settle down. But right now I'm kinda fixated on this item. It was the same as the 710 until I got mine.

There are a few EP threads on here which I have read but they are locked. That is why I had to start a new thread.

Plus I wanted this to be for guys/gals like me who want to buy an EP but aren't sure which package to buy for their needs. (It sounds like #3 is right for me)

Thanks to all who take the time to share.

N2, make sure you get one or two of the coarse 120 stones. Also, that ceramic rod is one of the smoothest I've ever seen. You want one of those too.

As far as most of my sharpening goes, it is on my EDC's and I like a little toothiness to the final edge, so I stop at the 320 stone. It kind of leaves micro-serrations. Try it on a couple and if you like it, you just saved half of your future sharpening time. Big Grin

I just looked at the Edge Pro website, nice to see you can by the stones and tapes individually.
