I just got the extremely cool 425 Gravitator Proto and it may not be the only one but I a am sure it is the only one outside of Benchmade! The two tone coating looks so cool!!!

It is a true proto, the lock side liner is different that the prod version and the pivot it a little bigger.

It is a little used and has been sharpened but both are by the designer Mike Snody so it just makes it more cool to me.

In place in my new EDC rotation.

That is very cool. Thanks for sharing. I have to say, the more I see the 425, the more I think I like it.

Nice score Doug! On the 425/426: The handle design looks strange until you spend a day with the knife. It does grow on you. I love Snody's stuff.

I guess dual tone blade would've added too much to production cost.
Sweet score, Doug!

Thats a great looking piece.. I really think its a damn shame that they stopped producing the 425-26 Snody designs but do understand that the company need to be profitable and if certain models dont sell well or cost to much to make then they gotta go...

is that uncolored CF on the top of the handle? the design doesn't do much for the eye IMO, but the rarity factor, and the "customness" factor make it that much cooler.

I have to say though, a bigger choil on the handle for your first finger would make it about 113% cooler.

That's actually silver twill G10 on the bolster of the knife. BM actually just released a new Gold Class 940-81 that has a damasteel blade and the entire handle is made of the silver twill G10.
