It never gets off the ground...

The better route is just to get the knife made and say "here is the forum knife." At that point everyone jumps in on it. Just my 2 cents.

I took the survey and am still interested. Idk why it hasn't stirred members up more to jump on board. Lots of people still waiting on the 806LE's and Christmas is on everyone's mind of course. But this forum knife won't be done anytime soon so plenty of time for us to recover from our holiday spending. I hope you don't give up on the idea completely. If everyone will accept the knife your suggesting now, then there may be opportunities down the road to build some of the other ideas floating around. You did a great job MCM on helping get us the afck's so I'm with you on this one too!

Forum knifes either take off like wild fire, or fizzle. Have been on knife forums for 15 yrs now. They either have the support, or they do not. It only works if a large number are committed from day one. BM has not even been asked about this one. Just seemed like a good idea at the time. Was a long shot from the start.
Even longer now looking at the response.

Have lots of big ideas for 2012, and do not want to take the time required pushing one through that's a "Maybe"...... Only go with sure things.......

I can understand that you need to make sure any ideas you submit results in a successful project. Thank you for trying.....maybe someone will be selling one of the original forum knife one day and I can get one that way. Keep up the good work you've done for us already MCM.
