I was looking at both the 522 and 527 Ultra Presidios today. When I was looking at the 522 in particular, the hollow grind left the blade near paper thin. I compared it to the Griptilian 550HG and the Griptilian was thicker.

I was just curious if you have either, but especially the 522, how they're holding up with the tasks that you're putting them up to? Again, that hollow grind looks too thin to me, but maybe it's just my untrained eyes...Opinions?

I have a 522 I have put to some light use and it appears to be holding up just fine. I havent hammered it yet but will certainly consider pushing it a bit harder to see if it will hold up.

I appreciate the feedback kj. I don't want you to do anything that causes the blade to break, but I'm just wondering how the hollow grind will hold up in the long run...
