I have an SBK. After s lot of use, I noticed the pivot screw keeps loosening up. I have to adjust it back to the "sweet spot". A couple days later, I have to adjust it again. Is anyone else having this issue? I sent an email to Benchmade, and I'm waiting a response.

I'm thinking I can back the screw out and put a drop of blue locktight on the threads. Has anyone done this with there Benchmade (any model). In my email to Benchmade my main concern is the warranty, if I back the pivot screw out. I do not want to void my warranty. I do not think it will, but I want to make sure.

A common issue, I use the blue 245 formula frequently on loose pivots and have sent knives up for servicing afterwards without any problem.

One trick, after removing the bolt wipe the threads in a bit of rubbing alcohol to remove any oil residue. You'll have plenty of time to set the sweet spot and it'll set in about 10 hours fully.

You like the knife otherwise?

Oh yeah, I love the knife. It's very comfortable in the hand and the blade style is awesome. It came razor sharp out of the box, I did not have to touch it up at all. I have nothing negative to say about the knife (other then the pivot screw, but I do not think that's specific to this knife). Otherwise very satisfied.
