Hi All,

Inspired by d_clarck's nagara thread I decided to contact our friendly dealer Roger at KW to see if he'd sponsor a pass around of the 585 and torrent models. He kindly agreed (looks like he has plenty of inventory). This way we can see if each KNIFE WORKS well or not.

Rules, these can be changed if anyone thinks of anything better.
1. You must be a member for more then 2 months.
2. Keep and use (don't abuse) knife for 5 days and then pass it on to the next person. Make sure that knife is shipped insured to the next guy on the list or assume the responsibility if it's lost in transit. I'm sure someone here can post details on the most cost effective way to ship knives.
3. Once you've passed on the knife to someone else post a quick review of what you like/dislike about the knife and maybe some cool action pics.
4. CONUS only.
5. Last guy ships the knife/knives back to Roger.
6. If you decide to buy one of these knives because of the pass around please let Roger know so that there's an incentive to do future pass arounds.

So if you are interested reply to this thread with your city and state listed and pick a number (that no one else has picked) between 1 and 500. Also please let me know if you are interested in the 585 or the torrent or both. Not really sure if it makes more sense to just send them both out to each member or do two separate pass arounds. I'll put a hard limit on 20 people joining the pass around on a first come first served basis.

I'll update this thread as people join.

I'm in for either.
Covington, GA (East of Atlanta)
I will take #258

If I understand, both knives will be passed around? If so I would like to wait to choose which I prefer.

If it is one or the other I would choose the Torrent.

Thank You JJPaul! And Thank You Roger!

Note to Roger, you might offer a "Passaround Special" to the participants who don't win. If this helps sell some of these (and I hope it does), this could be just the beginning!

Both knives. Just don't know if we should have 2 pass arounds or 1 with both knives.

Also not sure there will be a "win", wouldn't surprise me but the 1-500 # was requested by Roger so he can pick the first one on the psas around.

Rx given your collection I figured your box storage area was even bigger. Eeker

BTW he did tell me most are two boxes deep, so you figure you got to double that.

I wanted to say the same thing Rx, but didn't want to cloud this thread with my useless post...however, since you broke the ice....that is probably one of the best pictures I've ever seen...I would place that picture in second just behind the pictures of the Benchmade factory retail store with almost every model ever made in the showcases...excuse me while I wipe off my drool...

i say it would be better to get the 2 knives separately so we have a chance to put them through their paces thoroughly. maybee get your list together and send 1 knife from top to bottom and the other from bottom to top , just a thought.

thanks for putting this together, im really looking forward to these 2 blades
