That part bugs me. How can one properly maintain a quality instrument yet not do a little disassembly? If you get a little rust started under the scales, are they going to void the warranty because you took it apart to clean and lube it, or are they going to void the warranty because you let it get rusty?

-.-
Looking for 558DLCM4-500 number 029 and 520BK-1101 number 99

k f s,

Never lick anyone's elbow... that should be kept clean, as it is the only thing you should clean your ear canal with... according to my ENT doc.

Still haven't had an omega spring fail, despite a bunch of them. No unwanted closures on BM's, either!

I guess that's to keep things in their QC system. That hasn't stopped most of us from taking our knives apart, but things like replacing Omega spring have to be done there, they won't ship 'em to us.

Have a good one!

Real fast, and just by the weight of the blade.

You know, I never realized how free the blade on my Torrent is because I always release the lock with my thumb and it hits the detent before it has a chance to go very far. Maybe I'll tighten it up a bit so it doesn't swing so easily.

Just to follow up, I finally got around to sending in my Kulgera for an omega spring replacement. Benchmade turned it around quickly & sent it right back. Good as new and ready to go again. Great service as always.
