i have a deal working for an almost mint 950 for $75 but the guys picture shows a blue box with it. i know in the '09 catalog its a black class knife but ive seen some other examples around the net with blue boxes too. anyone know for sure what the heck is going on?

FWIW, my Rift came in a black box.

My 950 (first production run 60/1000) came in a blue box. I read elsewhere here that the early ones came in a blue box, but they are black class.

I'm thinking about buying a new one but I can't decide between the regular or all black handle. Leaning towards the all black, satin, PE.

i know the punisher hammers all these forums too, i see him all the time.

Does anyone really care if their knife comes in a blue or a black box? The only difference I have ever found between blue class and black class knives "is" the color of the box.

Now gold class and red class does make a difference...but there is no value difference or quality difference if your knife comes in blue or black. What if BM decided tomorrow to put all autos in green boxes. That wouldn't change anything either. Same situation here.
