I know some of you have rather large Benchmade collections, but I'm curious to know which one is considered to be your favorite. I was thinking about this question myself and it's kind of hard to narrow down a collection of knives that I've bought because I like them down to my one all-time favorite.

If I had to choose one model, I would have to say it was my 710SBKD2. In the beginning, I used to think my 960SLV was my favorite because it was functional and had a "classy" look to it, but my 710SBKD2 overtime has become my new favorite. It's got the Axis lock, it has a good looking design, it fits in my hand really well, and I know it will perform up to my expectations.

So my question to you is, what is your favorite Benchmade in your possession and the reasons?

I love the Ares. It was my first axis lock knife of any size. It has the perfect handle size for my hands. The only handle I like better is maybe the mini-rukus. I much prefer the layered G-10 of the Ares and the blade shape is awesome. It just stands out as one of the classic BM styles.

As for ones still in production I would have to say the mini-rukus is hard to beat. The best handle shape BM has and a very utilitarian blade shape. Second IMHO only to the Ares.

I only have 4 of them but if I had to choose one of them as my favorite, either my 520SBK Presidio or my Mini rukus.

Based on carry time it's the 770, in the office weekdays. Based on using it frequently, it's the 14210. Based on "What model do you think of when I say folding knife?" it's my 732 Ares. I don't carry it much, but deep inside I know that it's the one.

943 hands down, would feel naked without it.

Second would be the 710, the 907D2 is a rising star.

At this point my 520SBK Presidio until I get my 5000SBK in. I'm still new so that may change. I saw a Mini Rukus that I like.
