Here is my question: how come 3 of the 5 knives that BM has so far produced with an M4 blade are Osborne designs? Could it be to jump start sales of not so popular models?
Does it mean that if a knife sells well in plain Jane 154CM (or S30V) the chances of seeing a premium steel version are small?
Or I am being paranoid and it is just that M4 is a perfect match for Osborne's unusual blade shapes?

Smaller blades = less M4 used per knife.

Ah not sure I can support your premise.

So far we have had knife with M4 from

Snody
McHenry and Williams
Osborne
Lum

Actually LE version typically mean the item is a good seller.

Sorry, I do not know the Snody.
But otherwise 1 Lum (a real dog that they are trying to revive with the BM brand and M4);
3 Osbornes (among which the Gaucho, probably the ugliest knife ever);
the 710 does not count because the initiative to make it did not come from Benchmade but from Roger.

At a lower price, with standard G10 scales, they would make an excellent EDC.
