With 2 kids to pay for, it's hard to find the extra money for knives. I've been bringing lunch to work instead of buying to fund new knives. ~ 525, 705BT, 930, 943BK, 950, 14210, 556 ~

Congratulations on quitting smoking! It's not only good for your health, but you get to get more knives as a reward As for me, it's not what I quit doing, it's more of what I started doing. Let me explain. Since I got married a bit over a year ago, I have really stopped my purchases cold turkey (I needed to pay my bills for the wedding and we are also trying to save for a house). However, there have been two exceptions. The last knife I purchased was a 710-801 and I have only TRIED to purchase one other knife and that was the M4 806; but that never ended up happening Anyways, I really want to purchase another knife so I started recycling. Up until now, everything just simply went into the dumpster. I know...I know...but the apartment complex I live in does not have a recycling program so it was much easier just to throw everything out. Once I save enough from recycling, that money is going to go towards a new knife! I get to satisfy my hunger while helping the environment at the same time! __ Mitchell

We have a rule in our home: We sell toys to buy toys. Simple as that, if I want a new knife, something else has to go for at least 75% of the new knife cost... no exceptions. Tools, old gear, gadgets, junk around the house... even other knives whatever it is I sell it to buy a knife that I want. It has been working well for us for years now. *********************** -Drew Make a life not a living... | 520 | 522 |800s | 520s | 806-901 | 806sbk-CF | 710-801 | 610 | 615 | 6150 | 943 | 760 lfti | 3300 | 806 D2 | 740s

I do much the same thing minus the 75% cost thing. I usually just sell a few things and then absorb the rest of the cost. Really cuts down on the clutter to.
With no sex and the constant flicking open of knives your right hand must really be getting a work out Boomerangs 'n Butterflies: An Osborne Alliance | Member #960
