Does BenchMade really have fixed blade knives they only sell to LE? If true it seams a bit silly. How could a person logically justify that? Maybe they just watch too much TV, but still. Smiler

I am not aware of that. I agree it would be silly.

There aren't any "secret LE" knives that I know of...where'd you get that info from?

Could it be a confusion between LE (Limited Edition) and LEO (Law Enforcement Officer)?

I once saw a display case in a Benchmade Dealership that said "you must be a law enforcement officer or active duty military to buy automatic knives." The sign was in the case with their Benchmade Auto Knives.

That particular dealer operated in several states and I guess they didn't realize that no such law exists in Utah.

I've never heard of a fixed blade with any restrictions unless it's a double edged knife. That usually starts up all the questions about "dirks and daggers" being illegal in certain cities or states.

The CBK (Concealed Backup Knife) is LEO only in some jursidictions because it's a double edged dagger.

Having two sharp edges makes a knife into an unstoppable killing machine, capable of being controlled only through special powers conferred by Official Status, apparently. Roll Eyes

Special powers? I love it. CBK? I forgot about that knife...and yes, I'd imagine it has limited uses...Eeker

Makes sense.
BTW, I heard that all major steak houses in NYC were going to switch to airline-grade plastic knives. Wink
