Okay, so Mark G has his own personal crusade to get an Axis Stryker, but I have my own knife I'd like to see produced. I'm a huge automatic knife person, I love switchblades, they're simple to use and reliable, very convinient. I also love the AFCK series knives, they have awesome ergos and a killer blade shape and (IMO) the perfect size. Large enough to do some damage yet ergonomic and handy enough to be useful in day to day chores.

I want to see Benchmade produce an auto version of the AFCK, a 3.9 inch blade with preferably an aluminum handle, 154CM or S30V, quad mounts for the pocket clip. I'd give it a snow-ball's chance since they seem loath to release AFCK's in anything but limited numbers, but be that as it may it would be my perfect knife, and I think highly profitable to them.

Who's with me on this one?

Why aluminum?

I would be happy enough if I could order an AFCK now, plain satin that is. Never mind what AFCK stands for, IMO the military is not in the market for a pocket knife. And Auto is limiting your audience even more. Cool, sure, but a pretty small market unless you can get the various FED field agencies interested. It is a stupid law, but it is not going away.

I've actually wanted to comment on this for a while...

I like autos too, but the nitrous system has everything an auto has to offer plus one hand operation...

... and the axis system has completely replaced the need for spring opening. They can be opened very quickly (either by thumb stud or using the axis mechanism), quietly and offer the ease of one hand operation I have come to prefer... and they are legal where autos are not.

Just about anything AFCK would be a great idea if it involved shipping product. I have been told by two large dealers who wish to remain anonymous that there have been many delays involving supplier issues with M390. Silly rumor, or?

Wouldn't work. They would have to make the blade even more narrow to incorporate the safety (i.e. auto Rift). AFCK blade is narrow enough as it is.
