I was just curious how many different versions of the butterfly logo there have been and which one do you all like best.

My favorite butterflys are any of the ones with "USA" written underneath them.

As far as I know, there are at least 3 variations. One of the variations has just the butterfly with "BALI-SONG" printed within the image. The second one has the butterfly with antennae and "BENCHMADE" printed within the image. The third one has the butterfly sans antennae with "BENCHMADE" printed within it.

I hope that someone else can provide any other variations I left out. It helps to look at pictures of the collections of people like RxEnergy or Mr. Winks. Since their collections are so extensive, they should have images of all the variations.

Just the other day I was thinking of doing some macros of the butterflies, I do believe there're more then 3 variations out there. Quick one: on older BM balis the logo was punched, only few years later etching became the norm.

I would definitely be interested in seeing that!
