It was several years ago. I decided I wanted a folder as a back up for a fixed blade. A sales person in a local outdoors shop that I frequent jokingly said, "Only one folder can match a fixed blade. Here it is." and pulled out a 610. He started to put it away. I said, "I'll take it." He thought I was kidding. He was amazed anyone would want that much steel in a folder. Been in love with the 610 ever since. Worst part is, a friend wanted a knife for camping a few months back, so I loaned him my original 610. He decided to make the 'loan' an extended one after falling in love with it. I now have a brand new 610. Still miss the old one though, had the Blackwood stamp on it. The new ones don't. My friend will never get to hold my new one, nor my 615 ... ever.
