the three you listed are liner locks right?
IMHO that's the lack of love part.
with more axis asst knives available there may be more takers on the assisted
knife home front.

I am hoping BM formulates
Nitrous axis or Nitroaxis deployment system
so there would not be springs that might fail.
And it would be more one hand closer friendly

That would be sweet. The Nitrous assist is nice because there are no springs to fail and there is no assisted opening pressure when the knife is almost fully deployed so it is easier to close one handed (the blade isn't sprung open as you are trying to release the lock).

Only problem with a Nitrous assist and axis lock is that the nitrous assist almost requires the thin liners of a liner lock, where as the axis lock requires thicker liners. Not saying it couldn't be done, but I think that would be the design challenge.

The knife would be a little thicker than normal but not quite as thick as the 755 MPR but mill a slim section in the butt end of the knife for the Nitrous liners to be...??? inlayed into the main liners.
Depending on how big the blade is they could play with the thinness of the nitrous liner to the Stainless liners.
Problem solved you can send me a demo field test model if you like. Thank you.

Obviously, Benchmade has a long line of fabulous blades, but I don't see a lot of posts on the Barrage, and I'm curious as to why not.
At any rate, I think it's great, and a Happy New Year to all!

Well its a very good quality knife. You cant go wrong with it.

The AXIS assist is splendid, one big plus, ive never had any problems with the barrage
