Question:
Ok if you could only own one auto which would it be? The 9051 or the 9100?

Choices:
9051
9100

The Auto Stryker carries better as a pure "pocket knife."

And of course I am a sucker for an tanto blade (yes I know the AFO now comes with one).

The 9051 is a chunk of change in the pocket. The 9100's an easier carry and I also like the blade shape better.

which spring lasts longer? that's my main concern....i've had a few 9100's for a while and fired them thousands of times and have had no problems.....should i expect the same with the AFO II?

I voted AFO. The 9100 is easier to pocket, but the AFO is also twice the knife. The AFO II is a helluve knife--I have a 9052 and it's a favorite.

The deep choils, rugged jimping, grippy texture and overall grip shape make this the most secure feeling knife I've ever handled.

I can't believe I voted against my own knife for the tiebreaker. Frowner I only have a 9100SBK, my friend just got a 9051. Mine carries easier, sure, but I don't mind a hefty knife in my pocket, so the AFO really wouldn't get on my nerves in there, and it's so much beefier when you actually need to hack something up. Probably the thing I like the most about it though is that on my 9100 the button is almost flush and you have to really push it in there, almost with your fingernail, to get it to fire. My friend's AFO has a button that sticks way out there so it's really easy to fire without having to really get your thumb down on it. Fix the button (or did they already?) and I'd give them a tie, depending on where I'm going. Camping/survival, I'll take the AFO, just around the office or with slacks, the 9100.
