I've only had it a few weeks, but mine still works fine. He may have gotten one with a weak spring or it may simply have sat on the shelf for a while (unlikely, as they sell fast,) and needs lube. Who knows, he may have tried opening it into a piece of wood to test it, or something. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think I remember reading somewhere that the current run of Infidels have somewhat stronger sears and springs than the original run had. The YouTube video here was posted last March, almost a year ago.
