I was wondering what are your thouhgts about the nitrous (Mini and full sized) Strykers? How do they feel in the hand? Do you prefer the tanto or spear point blade and why? Is the spring overpowered on the full sized? Any additional thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have the 913 and 907 models in PE satin drop point blades and love 'em. Both are part of my EDC carry set and of the two I carry the smaller 907 a lot more often.

Although I enjoy both styles, between the tanto blade and drop point I find the drop point is a lot more useful for utility and project use, and is easier to touchup.

While I sometimes send my D2 blades to Benchmade for LifeSharp services, D2 lasts a lot longer in between.

On ease of opening, both are smooth after a few hundred cycles and there is no play at all.

I have found because the blade on the 907 is thinner than the larger 913 it does open a little faster.

Sounds good to me... Too bad they don't have tip up carry.

I just picked up a 912D2 with the Tanto point and I really like it for EDC. The Nitrous feature is awesome! Although the majority of my chores involve slicing, it is nice to know that it can also pierce with authority.

I wish it was available with tip up carry. Nonetheless, it's become my favorite EDC knife.

If there’s one thing I know about the 912D2 or 913 the Tanto blade, whatever number that is. Is it’s piercing ability. I was carrying back pocket, thumb stud deployed the blade just a bit. As time went by the blade moved out a little further. That sucker went through my denim and into a butt cheek with authority. Oh not just a little into cheek. It was like a war wound. So, rest assured. The Tanto D2 has plenty of piercing ability.

The End.

I have my butler hold my knife shut in my back pocket while I walk around and sit. Cool
