i just got mine today and i really like it but is if normal for the safety to not go quite all the way to the top? it still locks but just doesn't slide up all the way no matter how much pressure i put on the sliding....is that normal?

In the open position it might not go all the forward, but in the closed position it does go all the way forward. I don't know why...
