I am planning on buying a Smith and Wesson Assisted out the front knife for Christmas. I would rather buy a Benchmade Assisted out the front but if one is not available then I will have to buy the S&W. Does anyone know if Benchmade is comming out with an assisted out the front knife?
Thanks,
Jarrod

I can't picture this system in my head.

Is there like a thumb stud on the tip of the knife blade? Confused
That seems like it would get in the way of cutting.

A guy was selling them at a gun show. It was pretty cool.
I can't explain it so here is a picture. Just push both "buttons" foreward(one is a safety) and the spring takes over assisting it out.

Just looked it up on the tube not to sure if its the same deal. Not an S&W model but by shrade. Interesting design but it looks kind of difficult to use.

Well it may not be as cool as an auto but at least it's legal.
