Hey Men,

I picked up a nice PE 2550 mini reflex with a broken coil spring thinking it would be no problem as I have several size coil springs in my "parts jug".

Well, I tried what I had and none were small enough. So I picked up a .375 (3/8") off knife kits, but when it arrived I discovered it was the same size as the one I had on hand.

So, the mini reflex coil spring (at least on the model I have) is smaller than 3/8".

Anybody got a source on a smaller coil spring?

I ain't sending it back o BM, I am not an LEO, and I could give a rats arse about all the stupid regs--just looking for a source on smaller coil springs and would appreciate and leads if'n you might have one.

That's odd, I'm quite sure a .375 is the right spring for the 2550. You probably already have, but did you measure it? maybe kits sent you the wrong size coil. only thing I can think of.

I read you don't care to send it back...
but for anyone else...if an auto is shipped back by
a dealer it will be returned to them. its a loop hole I guess,
as they never sold you the knife... call and check with BM if you like.

Nope. I had a 3/8s and I ordered 2 more--none fit. the original is just a tad smaller and the spring recess has no room for excess

It is weird. i have another beater 2550 somewhere. When i find it I am gonna dismantle and check spring size on it.

Stock spring was a hair smaller, but i got the knife kits spring to fit--took about 4 cuss words, but it went in...popped out...went in...now don't get all dirty minded on me--i got the knife running again.
