I have here a 5000 auto with the parts apart.
This is not my knife. Somebody has purchased it in this way. He ask me if I can help him to put this knife together because he had problems with that. I said yes, thats no problem. But now, I have problems too with place it together. I don't understand what I do wrong. Can somebody help me and say, step by step, what I must do to put it together? I can not put the spring in the right position. I thought that it was easy. I hope that somebody can help me. Here I have some pictures. Maybe this can help. |

Yes, easily, but this will take a while for me.
I'm grabbin' some breakfast and whatnot first. One quick word of advice, from the looks of it, you're doing it all wrong. Seriously, once I'm awake with caffine and nicotine I'll be nice and post. Looks like the axis lock is straightforward just like their button locks. Should be cake to reassemble. KnifeRights.org Charter Member #606 - How about you? I could find no available videos on youtube.
The right liner and scale should be assembled, use the blade as your tensioner compress your spring by folding the blade to the closed position. That will settle most of the problem, other than that you just need to decide what hardware to remove to get the spring seated properly. Now I wish I had an auto axis just to make a slide show or video for you. KnifeRights.org Charter Member #606 - How about you? Seems like it would slow the action down. ************************************************************************ Charter Member #9 and Skullmaster °„° Lum Lunatics Brotherhood of the 420 Boomerangs 'n Butterflies: An Osborne Alliance | General, and Member #950 Pardue Pimps® #3 Jack of all Trades, and Good Enough to get Paid for All of Them. ************************************************************************ "No time for the old 'in-out,' luv - I've just come to read the meter!" -Alexander DeLarge (Prisoner Number Six Double Five Three Two One) |

Putting the 5000 together is different than assembling most autos. You have to take it 100% apart, charge the spring with the blade, then put in the stop pin. Everything else after that is easy.
