It's not related to SERE, but Al Mar did have a model called the AFO which was almost identical to BM AFO (S3oV blade in later models, not sure about the original steel, most likely same ol' ATS34) and Benchmade was manufacturing that model for Al Mar from the very start. I believe that's how 90xx series made it into Benchmade catalog to begin with - it was part of the original deal. ____________________________ Knock, knock. "Who's there?" "Me!" "Me? No way it's me. I was originally planning to get an auto, but then I tried the Barrage series. I liked them much better for a couple of reasons: Opening the knife (the actual physical act of deploying the blade) was actually easier for me on the assisteds. It seemed to require less force. Secondly, I looked at the position my hand was in immediately after opening the blade. I liked it much better on the assisteds. My fingers were in a natural position and I could actually use the knife (although I still adjust for maximum grip). But on the auto Presidio, my fingers were scrunched up in an unnatural position. | |||
