I got a first production Bedlam a little while ago and love it. My favorite Benchmade right now, I wish Benchmade would make a folder version of the knife so I could actually carry it. I've been looking for a Persian blade styled folder ever since I got the Bedlam. The closest knife I found to it is an Emerson Persian but it has been discontinued.

CA Penal code 639-653.2

quote:
653k. Every person who possesses in the passenger's or driver's
area of any motor vehicle in any public place or place open to the
public, carries upon his or her person, and every person who sells,
offers for sale, exposes for sale, loans, transfers, or gives to any
other person a switchblade knife having a blade two or more inches in
length is guilty of a misdemeanor.

There is nothing illegal about possessing a Bedlam in CA provided you keep it in your home. See, no need for "attitude" here.

They did a run of Emerson Persians this past year, you might find a dealer or two who still has one. PM if you need help.

Yes a regular production version would be nice.

I would love to see a regular production non-auto version of this knife. It would also be nice to have a satin finish blade on it.

Maybe even a mini version around a 3.4" blade.
