I figure you guys would be the best ones to know, what all assisted opening knives Benchmade has made? Curious on full production runs, prototypes, and also limited editions i.e. 615-1 or 615-2 Rukus (but I guess more LE). Have they done anything with the Presidio.... etc.

Is there a real good source out there, a one stop/semi one stop if you will where they list all knives and variations of them?

Any help would be awesome, I am really looking into collecting again, more specifically Benchmades this time around and would like to have a better idea of what different LE's are out there.

I can't give you what you ask for, but maybe I can still help you out.

Hopefully being an a collector also implies being an enthusiast: one who's willing to spend the time, collect some data, and share it with others. Simply buying things off someone else's list seems a little ... robotic.

For example, I started with a single Grip and am now creeping up on my 30th. Over time you learn more about the products you're getting and learn to appreciate them more. It's not as if you'll instantly purchase everything on a list even if it existed; you've got time to start slow and build up.

In the end, just get the knives you like and continue from there. Good luck! =)

While there aren't AO Presidio's there are the auto versions to think about. On the bright side, the Barrage models are pretty good AO's and are available now if you can't deal with auto's.

Don't get me wrong but I do spend time researching things because I am an informed purchaser. I also don't look at myself as robotic, because I do research things. I know the knives and other things that I personally like. I was merely looking for a list of knives so I could find some different versions of knives I do like. Subsequently I am now in the process of compiling a list of different models and their versions.

I also respect that some people don't care for assisted openers and I do love a good manual opener and have many of them. I have some assisted openers and autos as well. I was looking for some other options that weren't just run of the mill.

Thanks for some assistance and as my list keeps growing maybe someone out there would appreciate a way to find out some of the many possibilities of different versions.

Yeah those are nice ones I like your taste, I actually have them both. Except I have the Barrage SBK instead of the plain edge. But the Rukus is the same, except mine needs to go back to Benchmade. I just acquired it and when opening it something is wrong with the assist function. It only opens half way and stops and you can actually pull the axis lock back and it opens like an auto. I got it off the bay new from a seller with really good feedback but still hasn't got back to me. When I inspected it everything points to it being new so go figure. Quite a bummer
