the only issue i have is warranty it's a pain... Frowner
about knife laws... they are just obsolete, mostly political and just driven by irrational fear.

Yeah they don't really care to enforce the law, but the liberals made damn sure they were on the books. They slipped a lot of ridiculous crap by a sleeping public. What about swords? Can I legally walk down the street with a sword in a scabbard hanging from my Belt? And if so, why should a little auto knife be threatening? I wish they made an automatic sword!

If there had been an auto knife in there I would have been screwed. It’s a felony to ship those across state lines and I’ve never been much of a gambler.

I've never seen a UPS clerk I could not take the package back from. Which is just what I did at Fedex when they wanted to inspect my golf club package. I don't golf, but I do take my business elsewhere when the clerk wants to inspect my packages. I'd beat the stuffing out of the whole dang lot of 'em before I'd let 'em open that package.

I tear the tags off my mattresses too. And, forgive me dear Lord, I burn the tarnation out of my Christmas trash in the fireplace on no burn days. And I piss on the bushes in my back yard when my feet are dirty and I'm working out there. And I kill the Pigeons that crap on my back porch very other day mid-breakfast via the illegal discharge of a projectile within the city limits. And, at night when i can't see well, I don't give a rip which dumpster the trash goes into--the tree huggers better pray to Mother Earth it doesn't land in the recyclables cause I honestly ain't sure. I digress so I stop.

Auto luver I highly doubt the FBI is monitoring blade forums.... No disrespect but that's plain silly considering everything they have to sorry about

I was involved in the discussions with Autoluver in regards to what he is saying.

Without getting into too many details. It involved Spyderco's run in with ICE over imported balisong parts. Federal agents were part of, and members of the forum and statements were made. And as a matter of fact, the automatic subform on the Spyderco site was created with the express purpose of allowing Spyderco and Federal Law Enforcement to monitor discussions, and that is not internet rumor, the mods clearly expressed this in a post on the site.

If you believe there is not someone from the federal government not reading these forums on automatic knives you are sorely mistaken... Trust me.

Furthermore...

It is just a matter of time before someone does some 20/20 news report on the evil knives in our midst, and some federal agency takes it on... It was detailed just what a federal agent could do to track you down from just your forum posts...

You may not like the law, you may not even follow the law... But boldly stating you are circumventing Federal law on the internet is just dumb. You might feel all good about taking a stand, however you might feel differently when you get busted. Remember breaking ANY Federal law is a felony, there are no misdemeanors. No firearms, no voting, no job... Not worth it IMHO.

California is a very crack-down sort of state on some issues, but they sell "California Legal" Auto's by many manufacturers. They're generally 1 7/8" blade length just so there's no question that its under 2".

At least in my own state, autos are legal to have and own, but not to carry. I enjoy having a handful to collect, but I've never carried one outside the house. Also the case with my three balisongs (yay, the 53 made it today).

As I've stated elsewhere when you've made this political partisan accusation, it is the law enforcement associations who are responsible for most of the assinine knife laws in California. Maybe by your standards, CA ALEO are liberals, but maybe by your standards Sarah Palin is a genius.
