I bought a 2550 that would not lock closed, then sent it in to see what Benchmade could do. I got it back yesterday. The handles and pocket clip were the only things not replaced. On top of that, they added a spare pocket clip and returned the old blade, too. I had to send my f-i-l's much abused auto BM, so old it just had 'Balisong' on it, back via a sporting goods store on the other side of town. It's main fault was it wouldn't lock closed all the way. It came back as he wanted it - fixed - and otherwise like it left. Same beatup once-black AL handles - same partially serrated and engraved blade, which I 'touched up' sharpness-wise. He is happy... it had sentimental value. Good going, BM!
