Skimo, OK...but why? I have to flip the knife in my hand to orient the deployed blade toward the bad guy.
It just seems unnatural to me. I imagine I'm bleeding out myself from a gunshot....the fewer motions the better I'd think.
I am no expert. I'm looking for guidance.

it's on the opposite side of the handle (back of the knife) from the button, yes?

keep in mind that it's not meant to be a boot knife, I was one of the guys saying a push dagger is far more appropriate. (and cheaper)

I don't know how deep it sits, or how tightly it fits, but it should be rather easy for conventional draw.

You could allways tap and die in holes for the clip at the other end of the knife if it suits you, Maybe Benchmade could do it for you, but a local machine shop could do it as well, and maybe for free for a LEO Smiler

Believe me I listened. I bought a conventional dagger, although not a "push" style, and I'll begin carrying it as soon as I find a suitable sheath (or have one made).
I'm trying to learn as much as I can about all of the tools I carry and use.
This forum is a great resource, please don't mistake my enthusiasm for disrespect.
The 3550 sits nearly flush vertically in the pocket. It is an easy draw. As I said, in my mind, repositioning the clip would be a big plus, eliminating one maneuver necessary for me to deploy the blade.
I have looked into relocating the clip. In fact, a machine shop owner has it right now. I'm a little worried because he deployed the blade about 100 times while I was talking with him. And he lost one of the screws!
