Hey guys I know I asked this before but I feel I didn't get a clear answer....

Is there any advantage to the 9050 over the 9100?

Anything that says armed forces only makes me feel like it's higher quality

So what are your opinions?

Honestly? I would use it for a back up weapon to my glock 17.... Not to cut carpet or something

If it is guna be for a SD back up then I would go with a fixed blade. If you can.

can't....i like concealment with quick deployment of the blade....which my auto stryker served pretty well in that capacity

i was just wondering if the 9050 was better built (especially the spring) since its AFO?

the 9050 has a bigger handle, might try like cold steel and stick em in some steel drums, honestly they are both hard core knives.....

9050 is just bigger, meatier, heavier. It was designed to compete in a specific military market. I'd say it is less concealable and heavier, but also more dependable for heavy thrusting, twisting, and non bladed striking use. Biggest diff to me is the amount of meat in the handle on either side of the blade.

In the day, both were used by the Military. Both knives had/have stocking numbers.

The AFO traces it linage back to one of Al Mar's knives right? I think that is the story.
