I'm a LEO in Michigan. I'm thinking about getting one of these knives. How fast does it open, and lock up. Im looking to get one for duty use, for emergency backup. I'm looking for both Pro's and Con's for these two Auto's. Also wondering if anyone has info on future Axis-Auto designs, thanks. Brad 140 M2HS; 806-901SBK; 551BKODD2; 335

On the 950 I would love to see that...and Brad, the Presidios have a lot of snap. Very fast openers and safe to boot. 350, 520, 525, 525BK-1101, 530, 580-1102, 580 Proto, 583-1, 585-1, 710-1, 710-2, 710D2, 710HS, 722, 732, 740, 740 Proto, 741, 745, 746, 746-1201, 750, 790, 800, 800HS, 805-1101, 812, 830, 831, 835HS, 840, 845, 890, 905, 907D2, 910, 910SCG, 912D2, 913D2, 12400 Proto, 12410, 14205, 14210, 40022-100. I wonder what the model number will be, since 9500 is already taken. ____________________________ Knock, knock. "Who's there?" "Me!" "Me? No way it's me. I'm right here!" My Benchmades (updated) Benchmades That Used To Be Mine...

they're both great knives, but i like the 5500 better ( i like the smaller size for pocket carry ). here's a video of my 5500: i apologize for the lack of quality of the video. also, the last time i opened it my ring finger was against the blade which slowed it down a bit. good luck with your decision, they're both great knives. _______________ - Jesse. The 520 needs an M4 blade.

Couguar, thanks for the video. It's faster then I thought. I noticed it is faster then the 3550, in your videos. 140 M2HS; 806-901SBK; 551BKODD2; 335

I don't find the 5000's extremely fast, but seem perfectly adequate. I think the HK 14905 is a lot more "snappy"
