Well I got word today that I am getting a very good new job. Therefore, I am celebrating with a 3550 and and AFO II BK. My wife said why do you need two? I said, cause I am about to get paid and you are about to get paid, so I deserve it. She said, ok, I want to go shopping. haha

Very nice. Do you like the auto for Military reasons or just cool factor? You should really look into getting a 6150. The axis auto is bad a$$. All in all the axis lock in manual form is the fastest one hand open AND one hand close out there bar none. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lunatics I salute thee!! http://i248.photobucket.com/al.../M2HSSR/bdd5b559.jpg Boomerangs 'n Butterflies: An Osborne Alliance | Member #22

Definately for cool factor reasons. The AFO is just bad. $160 for the AFO II BK tanto. What ya guys think?

For cool factor get a 6150 or 5000. Just a little smaller then the AFO II but both are heavy duty bad a$$ users. Auto axis is the way to go IMHO. $160 seems high but if you look around you can find it cheeper. Try posting in the WTB section you might just get a hit on that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lunatics I salute thee!! http://i248.photobucket.com/al.../M2HSSR/bdd5b559.jpg Boomerangs 'n Butterflies: An Osborne Alliance | Member #22

Well the lowest I found it on the internet was $165. Where else could you get it cheaper?

In general, I do find the Rukus and Presidio to be a bit cooler than the AFO, but as autos, I'd definitely take the AFO. Just something about that plunger release and lock. So simple, so easy, such a pleasure. And having the spring resistance when closing for the axis autos is kind of disorienting (at least to me), so I tend not to like them as much. For looks, I definitely like the tanto version of the AFO. For utility I'd personally almost always go for the more standard shape, but since this one is for cool factor, I think it'd be hard to beat a 9052BK. Oh, and for prices, I think $165 sounds about right. I think I've seen a couple BM auto models (full size, not mini models like the 3550) as low as $150-ish, but I can't remember where (or which models).
