I saw the auto part and that's why I didn't mention my blade/handle swap thread up for the regular knives. Autos don't have thumbstuds and I think the auto-rift is thinner overall than the regular rift. I bet the 111H2O blade would be too thick even if it has the cutouts for the auto mechanism. Speculation on my part.

If you're planning on trying to put a non auto blade in auto knife... it will never work. The reason why is because the autos use a circular spring that is sits in a notch that is milled into the autos blade. Since the standard models lack this the swap is impossible.

I have linked a picture of some springs for auto knives so that you can get an impression of what they attach to under the scales.


So the point about one blade being thinner than the other is rather pointless as it wouldn't work anyways.
