I picked this beauty up from the son of a knife collector. He was told it was limited, not sure about that but it doesn't have any steel markings and was wondering if anyone had any other info on it.

Good score, nice old school knife. Vintage late 90's and un-marked is most likely ATS-34 steel. Box and everything, looks like unused. Hold onto that thing, it's worth a nice chunk of change.

Ohhh Daddy like! I have never seen a 9100 of this vintage and in Plain Edge to boot! odds are the steel is ATS-34 as most early Benchmades with unmarked steel stampings were ATS-34. Congrats on a very nice 9100. I have a question is this going to be a safe queen or are you going to use it?

Wow, very nice find. Crazy how something like that could stay unpacked for so long. Is it clipped?

@shadow864 I don't have any intention to use it. I'll keep it tucked away until I decide to sell it (selling any knife gets quick approval from my wife).

@old angler Yes, it has a clip.

Also, it still fires like the day it was bought.

Funny how well that works...Wink

BTW - on older NIB knives I have a few that will never see use...and have a few backups that I DO use...like the 14210.

And then there's buying/trading (for) those users that make life good...no worries in that case!

Again KnifeNewb, good score. Smiler
