I had the same thing happen to mine when I got it. For me, put the blade into a half-open position (so it wouldn't pull the big flat plate one way or the other. Then I stretched the spring assembly over the plate. You're going to face the tabs down so it catches the hooks which means the springs will be visible until you put the top part of the handle back on.. place the thumb stud where it goes.. carefully put the top in place. I fired mine a couple times just holding the handle together without placing the screws to make sure it all worked correctly. If you do this, hold it tightly. If you are still unable to get it, post back and I'll take mine apart again and take some pictures. I searched all over youtube and the web.. the only thing I could find was a guy who got his blade off-track just like you and I did. He didn't offer any detail other than to say "there's not many parts so it was easy to take apart and fix".. that gave me the confidence to open mine up. -----=====-----=====-----=====----- KnifeRights Member

You,ve probably never had one break. Ive had a 14800 Tumult not function properly and had to send it in (they gave me a totally new one) Yes I live in Kalifornia where autos are not legal. I had to send it to djsportland and he was kind enough to send it in for me. Thanks you again djs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contempt Prior to Investigation - Dont knock it till you,ve tried it. I had the thing in my hands for less than 10 minutes when I slipped the blade out of the spring catches. I fought with it (gently) for over an hour before I decided that the only recourse was taking the thing apart or finding someone in Oregon to send it to so they could send it in for me. I searched youtube and scoured the web for anything I could find regarding taking one apart. Once it was established that there was no tutorial available and the one guy said it wasn't that hard, I decided to try it. I had it apart in about 2 minutes and back together about 15 minutes later. The problem I had was that due to the thing being jacked up when I took it apart, it pretty well exploded when I took the screws out. Most of that 15 minutes was figuring out how the parts fit back together. In all honesty, it really wasn't that bad. I never took one of my BM's apart before the first time I did it... started with a clip swap, then to scale swap.. to taking an Axis apart so I could sand down a sticking point. I am still very respectful of the parts, pieces and how much I tighten stuff, but I don't think twice about opening one up if need be. -----=====-----=====-----=====----- KnifeRights Member

Thanks a lot man , i will give it a try. Im pretty sure BM says dont open the automatic knives. To be honest i didnt opened the knife first. I gave it to a friend, and now he is gonna return the knife to me in that position. Screws....dissasembled....i dont know. I hope i will be able to assemble it. If you can't get it back together, just post back. I have no problem taking mine apart again. If nothing else, I can take pictures so you know you have all the pieces you should have when you start. -----=====-----=====-----=====----- KnifeRights Member
