Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove stripped handle screws from my stryker? I went to take them off to replace the spring and the heads stripped out..

Thanks

If you have a small enough drill bit and can get to the backside of the screw you have a chance of screwing it out with that.

if there are still some "teeth" in the head of the screw, then you might be able to use a larger torx bit. for example if they're t7 then try a t8. you can also try a hex bit to see if it fits, or a precision screwdriver.

only problem is if you remove the screws then you will need to find something to replace them...

best bet would be to check with your local dealer and see if they can send it back to benchmade for you. expect to pay shipping both ways and possibly a fee for voiding the warranty.

How about an easy out. You can get them at Sears in different sizes. And they're about everywhere.

Easy out or also referred to as a Screw Extractor. Home Depot stocks them as well but I doubt either they, Lowe's or Sears will stock one small enough for what you need. You may need to either contact some sort of a hobby shop or specialty fasteners store (http://www.mcmaster.com) like Mcmaster Carr as they stock a huge supply of easyout/extractors. Good luck but as others have suggested call Benchmade explain the situation and see what they say imo.
