I love my Barrages and have managed to avoid Valox scales on any of them. Next on my list is the 587 WARN. On the series as a whole I'd love to see more M390 in the mix.

I do love the Barrage series also and I personally agree with you in the Valox, however I recently sold a 585SBK that I had in my gun safe to another member on the forum on the quiet.

It was for his wife and she loved the Valox when it was also offered to him with a G10 Warn Scale, my wife did the pictures for me (I am hopeless at that) and she didn't know that I even had the knife either.

My wife also loved the Valox as she said it would be lighter in her handbag and the silver clip wouldn't rub in there either (you know a woman's handbags Mate...LOL)

So perhaps there is a real market for both and most knife makers are really not catering to the female market in general...

Another vote for an upgraded Mini Barrage.

I wish they'd do something like the Doug Ritter Griptilion.

Upgraded blade steel and scales. I have the Warn version and I like it a lot.

All kidding aside, If BM were to release a mini version of the 581, I'd be all over it.

after carrying and using the full size 581 for a couple days, I can safely say the following:

I would to see a mini 581, I want a mini 581, nay... need a mini 581...

Hmm...problem is we have the 580, 581 and smaller 585. Then there's the SHOT 585-1 with solid G-10 scales.

If they used the 585 with the T6 and G-10 scales maybe call it the 585-2?

joe_karp, why not call it a 586 instead?
