I had to replace a broken spring in my 5000 auto. Can't send it back to BM because I'm not an officer or military. I got it back together alright, but it was really difficult. The fact that the spring engages in the handle scale and not the liner, and that the axis bar holds the liners together made things tricky.

Does anyone know of an easy way to reassemble this knife? Step by step pics would be awesome.

Thanks

Presuming that you can legally own one in your state (but not carry it), you need to take it to a Benchmade Dealer and he can send it into Benchmade for your warranty... Big Grin

I hope that this helps you....Smiler

You can send it directly to Benchmade, but they'll need to send it to your BM dealer.

If I could be sure it was the same, I'd take my 5500 apart and document it for you.

I don't have a 5000 to disassemble Frowner

It's good achievement, if you did all things legally then it must admire by Benchmade association. Show them your work.
