oh and for some reason i expected this knife to be shorter and smaller than the 9100...not the case, its pretty large

If it seems to be running slow, then give it some lube. As Skimo said, they are a lot more forgiving than the OTF's.

Hmmm, seems I forgot to add some smilies to my previous post. Wink

Yep, good advice from everyone, pipe cleaners are awesome, the button lock is (mexican accent) "strong like bull" (/mexican accent)

It's a very good knife, and as a side note if you really like it, Gerber now has an OTS auto with a S30V blade that is pretty nice as well with a great (what I call utility blade) nothing flashy, just a very good design.
