I have EDC an Infidel for a while during my deployment in Egypt. As is the case with anything in the Army it has been used for everything including cutting an old 55 gallon metal drum in half. Now, I could have used a cheaper knife, or my fixed blade Gerber LMF II, but I like to test my equipment. That being said, the Infidel past the test with flying colors. All the use has gotten dust and "stuff" down inside the knife, so I got a blue box from BM to open it up and clean it out.
A warning to anyone doing this, ONLY TAKE OUT THE 6 SCREWS ON THE TOP (LEVER SIDE) OF THE INFIDEL. If you take out the 6 screws on the back, you will have tiny little parts (leaf springs and locking bars) fly all over the place. I learned this the hard way and it took me about 45 min. to put all those tiny pieces back. If you only remove the top piece you can easily clean off / remove the blade, the full action and springs of the opening mechanism. I haven't had any problems with cleaning it this way.
If anyone wants a bad ass knife that looks awesome and performs even better, look no farther. 3300.

Thanks for the info and your service men. I use and appreciate the freedoms you serve to protect and secure everyday.

It tickles me some that you are using an Infidel in Iraq.

Thanks delta526 and KnifeAddict for your service. As great as the 3300 appears I would say that it would work better as a duty knife for a cop than a soldier. I carried my 5000S throughout my entire military career and it never failed me in any situation even after weeks of being unable to clean it. Delta526, I'm glad to hear that you are backing up your 3300 with a fixed blade and as you mentioned.. the thought of having to use your knife for self defense when you have your M4 and M9, I just hope it wouldn't have to come to that.

Be safe, be smart, and come home soon.

I would surely like to see that knife after it cut a steel drum in half. I've cut them before by hand with a hammer and chisel. And it was no easy task.

It probably looks like the 941 I sent to BM after the retard used it to stab and twist holes in pineapple juice tin cans.
