Hi Jedi,

9050 is a big drop point knife at 5.3 Oz. AFO stands for Armed Forces Only...lots of these coming back from the sandbox hitting the marketplace.

9100 is based on the Stryker design and is a modified Tanto and is much slimmer at 3.9 Oz.

Both use the same plunge-lock auto mechanism, each have a safety, and construction in either is heavy duty.

I think its a matter of choice, the drop point on the AFO is a more useful blade for utility use, and it's a serious pocketful but I think each was issued a velcro pouch.

Can't think of anything else...oh yeah, if you can find a disco'ed 9130 it's the same as the 9100 but has a drop point blade if that's what you're looking for.

Big weight and size difference here, AFO come with a molle compatible sheath and the 9100 come in a BM bag. If this is for EDC I would suggest the stryker, unless your in the service and need a large folder..
