There was a time when a thread begging for an Axis lock Mini Reflex lasted a loooong time. I think Les DeAsis did a lot of the design work himself back then, but he was also working closely with Mel Pardue at that point too. Holy smoke--never thought of it but it figures. But shoot, you ever see the tang on an Endura 4 out of the scales? Ah, yes, interesting. That would seem to be inherent in the lockback design as well. Liner locks tend to have robust tangs, and thankfully Axis locks are similar.
