how long do you guys thing the mechanism that fires the blade out of the infidel will really last? a lifetime?
just curious since i bought an OTF for 19.95 in junior high that i had to put together and it broke in like 2 weeks lol "I see you have constructed a new lightsaber." |

When blade magazine did an article on the Infidel, when it first came out, they asked Benchmade about spring longevity.
They reported Benchmade said that for someone who fired it 10 times a day, it should last 18 years. Another thing to consider is that the springs are not being compressed except during operation. Some people store their conventional automatics in the open position, so that the spring is stored in a less compressed position. There is no need for this with the Infidel. Finally, if and when the springs do wear out, send it to Benchmade for warranty replacement. This message has been edited.
