Anyone have photos of a 615-2 disassembled? Am thinking about re scaling one to thin it down and allow a regular clip to be installed. Any photos floating around? Thanks S90v Please......

NO I dont .......but rather than start a new thread , I figured I could high jack yours Went to my local dealer today and he had a few of the new BM,s (which many are on my list now) He happened to have 3 of the 615-2 ,s and 3 of the BK PS versions also. With this said , I couldnt resist .....I had to buy another 615-2 ...........why I,ll never know I handle the 585 and it seemed a little short in the handle for me or was it the 154 that killed it for this steel snob.?? He had the gold shoki and 525 gold which are now on my list. He dont take credit cards or I,d have them already -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contempt Prior to Investigation - Dont knock it till you,ve tried it. "I had to buy another 615-2 ...........why I,ll never know" Cause its about the fricken coolest BM to come out in yrs! "Maybe even Mark needs another 615-2...! " I plan to stop at the (2) I have , one to stay NIB. And re-scale the other.Might make some thin Fossilized Mastodon Tusk scales, I think I would like that. Its on my knife to do list, but its a long list. Mule's have been keeping me busy......... S90v Please......

Got my two 615-2's today. ok 1 is the 615SBK-2 for the NIB thing and I'm edcing the other. but I realy dropped in to ask MCM what does seeing the knife disassembled do for you in the making of the new scales.

Just curious how thin I could go on the scales. Is anything milled out of the underside of the scales for clearance? Or are they flat? Its pretty far down on the to do list. Just didnt know if photos were floating around the forum. No big deal........ S90v Please......

oh ok. nope have not seen any. on another note though. I musta fell asleep when I ordered the 615-2. cause I thought the mini rukus was a s30v steel knife. I might have seen it on the spec sheet and said to my self I'd rather have it than the Barage... after having read some of the Barage reviews. still when I opened the box I was caught by suprise to see 154 on it. A little disappointment right at first. That was short lived, being that this is my first Spring assist and was pleasently surprised when the blade snapped out and locked up like a vault. 154 / s30v eh. forgetabout it I just wish the had a few more desings with the same combanation of axis and spring. Wonder if axis would work with the Nitrous system?

Well, I got curious and disassembled my 615-2. I had mentioned in another thread that I thought if you need to take it apart it should be fairly easily reassembled. I got caught off gaurd. there must be some suttle tricks to getting every thing to line back up properly. Any way when I get home I'll take it apart slowly and post some picks for you.
