I have been trying to get use to opening my new 913 Stryker. It is almost impossible for my fat fingers to hit the supplied thumb studs. To get it to open somewhat easily I have to loosen the pivot screw to the point it has excessive blade play and it hits the liners.

I called the Benchmade customer service line and the lady who helped me said she would get a few different sized thumb studs in the mail. The only other company that has treated me this nicely without making it seem like an inconvenience has been Springfield Armory.

Looks like I have my lifetime supplier for guns and knives wrapped up.... Big Grin

I feel the same as you!!! I own over a dozen benchmade products and 2 springfield pistols so far. Both of them make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside Big Grin

Good deal Cinman. I've also replaced the studs on the Stryker 912/913 with the smaller ones and like the way it feels. Also they don't catch on my pocket as easily.

Sorry for the delay on the pics and the poor quality of them. The first set of thumb studs never arrived and I called them the other day to resend some.

I don't know what model these come from but they are about 25% larger in size and make a world of difference in opening.
