But kindo like guns, you can't carry them here but I don't think it is illegal ot own them, collect them, or use them in your home. The Borg keeps spitting me out.

def not just an infraction. well depends who you are. if its your first offence of any type they may let you go easy depending how gung ho the leo is, but if you got a record or they just want to they can slap you with a felony for an illegal weapon charge. ******************************** 3300, 9 cb-bk,950,530sbk,3550,10412,550,32, 723 le #35,746 fp # 36, Customized 530sbk by Benchmade, 805-1101 #6, 585sbk. ******************************** Lum Lunatic member. Word from the wise.....never ask cops about the law....theyll always "Interpret" the law as opposed to actually stating the law. Lawyers know law....not cops.

I don't think carrying autos is a big deal, Ive never been stopped and asked "whats that in you pocket, sir" As long as it for a legitimate purposes, then its a legitimate tool, in my mind at least, I don't see the big deal but respect those who fully abide by the law. In my state you can't carry autos but there is a general acceptance amongst the police that if you have a license to carry concealed firearm then your OK or at least that's why I have been informed by quite a few LEOs (mostly my brother and his fellow BPD buddys, state, municipal, and transit police officers in my criminal justice classes over the years) around here. They sell autos at most firearms retailers here. Just my 2 cents Boomerangs 'n Butterflies: An Osborne Alliance | Member #3

I've never been stopped and asked what is in my pocket either but there are two times when you might have to explain it: 1. If you are arrested for anything else. My ex wife called and had me arrested during our divorce (any woman can). When you're arrested, they empty and inventory your pockets. I was on a jury for drunk driving and they asked the panel who had had DUIs and 3/4 raised their hand. If you get stopped for DUI, don't make your lawyer have to address a knife charge as well. Not a good place to plea bargain from. 2. If you ever have to use it in self defense. You'll be much more favorably recieved if you have a legal knife. Especially if the assault makes the papers, the liberal press will focus on the illegal knife rather than the self defense. So in CA I collect a few autos but carry a spring assist. --Jerry The Borg keeps spitting me out.

If you use a knife in self defense I don't think it matters what kind of knife because most likely your SCREWED when you use deadly force in CA and MA. Our states are like small communist countries, too many liberals . . . yuck Carl you do make a good point about the media though. And welcome to the forum.
