There have been a few fake ones with trainer scales on a normal 5000 on ebay.

Nothing special about that one, you would be paying an extra $200 for the LE lettering and a S30V blade.

Do you know this one: http://www.acma.de/Messer/Klap...dell-Plain-Edge.html ?

I was very close to pulling the trigger on that one, but 370$ or so for a 5000 with S30V blade sounds like a bad deal from whatever angle you look at it.

There is a manual version, the 520A of that model 5000-01. It's a nice knife but the blade is a little shorter than the 154 cm version.

Thanks George. I think it had something to do with compliance with German law or something. I think both S30V versions have the same blade, probably there were some left that allowed them to do the limited auto version...

Rezarf, I believe that is a sportmans warehouse edition and if it is then it would be green in color.

It is an olive drab version made for MWGE.

I think it was a 5000-702. The did a 5000-701, 5000-702, and a 5000-703. the colors i think were tan, green, and a soft blue. I forget how many were made as they were not numbered but i want to say 250 each.
