That's an amazing price point when compared to the Infidel. But of course 'Made in USA' is always great to know.

Thanks for posting this, I wonder when Benchmade will post the announcement for this knife.

EDIT: I need to start looking at dates...
I found a link to the product page on the website, but for some reason the product pages haven't been working for me for a couple of days now.

ive got a couple i orderd a long time back that just came in and they are much improved over the prototype i handled at Blade. its a nice blade for around 180 street, an otf just adds to the value.

I have to ask ....... Are they as quick as the Infidel ...... Does the blade wobble when in open position ........ Is it hard to push out an in ???

the action is very quick, feels quicker then the infidel to me and the slide button feels sturdier and has smoother action then the infidel. the blade does have some wobble but its been reduced from the prototypes and id say the slide button has an appropriate resistance to stop accidential deployment. overall fit and finish is really nice where i dont feel overall the HK line has the fit and finish of the standard BM line.

After playing with mine for a while , openning and closeing a bunch , mine has came out of cycle 4 times already , it goes back in eassily but it has a tendency to not catch the other spring all the time.
Granted I was doing it fast , but if I really needed a knife to depend on , it would never be an auto anyway , any of them. There mechanical and they break , its a fact of life.
Its a fun knife , its a letter openner on my desk now ....... but I cant for the life of me figure out why it comes out of cycle.
The 3300 I had did that too ......... would I buy it if I,d known this ...YES , I think there fun. And mine might just need to be lube inside , so with that said , what is the best oil or lube persay to get for these ??
I know this has been gone over before with Jedi , I believe but can someone run this by me again. Iam not taking this sucker apart and BM will not ship in back to me for where I live , its not legal.

Thanks for your review dj

Sorry that you are having a problem with your new letter opener. I’ve never had a similar problem with either of my 3300s, maybe I haven’t played with them enough, who knows. Anyway, I still want a plain edge satin version.
