Not exactly. Mayhems and Aliases are made exclusively by Benchmade. Kimuras are made by Kershaw, and couple other models are made by ProTech.

Of course you're right. I meant to write Mayhem, not Bradley. Thanks for pointing it out Smiler

I bitched a few posts back and I said what I feel but I also started out by saying Jason has addressed this. Very diplomatically I might add.

I imagine the dull Benchmades will keep showing up until they are all bought up and then hopefully it will be a bad memory.

I know they can do it, they do everything else so well!

I'm thinking my next knife purchase should be a Bradley Mayhem.

So does anyone know the story about it being discontinued. It appears from searching the forums that was the news a year or two ago. But now I see them in stock at a couple of vendors and it is listed on the Brochure on Bradley's website.

Here's the response I got from Bradley Cutlery regarding the future availability of their Mayhem series:

Q:
I am considering purchasing a Bradley Mayhem in the near future, specifically model 17040. I have heard rumors that the Mayhem was being discontinued. Is this true, or is the Mayhem going to remain in production for the foreseeable future?

A:
Good afternoon,

We still plan on producing them for the foreseeable future, usually just in short runs.

Please check with your favorite cutlery outlet, or online dealers, such as notyourmamasknife.com or bladehq.com (which has them in stock).

Thank you for your interest in Bradley Cutlery.

I also asked if Benchmade was still producing their Mayhems. Here is the exchange:

Q:
I know in the past the Mayhems have been manufactured through Benchmade, and I have somewhat of a loyalty to that brand and am wondering if the new production is still being produced by Benchmade?

Thanks Again,

A:
Good morning,

Yes, we still have standing with Benchmade to continue producing the Mayhems and Alias series.

Thank you for your interest in Bradley Cutlery.
