ok so i have a 42 and am loving it. but im just worried of running into the issue that i have heard people mention of the tang pin falling out. is there any precaution i can take against this and if it does fall out will benchmade be able to help me out with this problem?

IIRC that was an issue with earlier runs of 42 (t-latch, not all of them). Others are just fine.

Rx yes I have seen a psychologist and have been diagnosed with benchmade anxiety Big Grin

ccssww- on a serious note I flip my 42s and 51s A LOT and sometimes drop them while doing moves like a Y2K but they are as good as the day I bought them. Benchmade makes the best production balisong in my opinion.

So unless your GOAL is to break it I doubt you're going to harm the 42. Unless you drop it several stories onto concrete then you may need to tighten your pivot screws if you haven't loctited them

The 31, with it's pressure MIM Ti handles is even more amazing. I pried open a big old sticky window with it once and it didn't even register a scratch

I just have to say that the 42 is a very solid knife. I remember a post somewhere about a guy that accidentally threw his 42 off his apartment's second or third story balcony and had it land in the parking lot without any real significant damage.
